Payment Information

Payment is due at the time of service.

I accept:
Most major credit cards
Bank transfers
Venmo and Revolut
HSA (Health Savings Account) funds, where applicable

Insurance

I believe that healing relationships and nurturing emotional well-being should be accessible, and I’m committed to helping you understand your options when it comes to insurance and payment.

While I do not bill insurance companies directly, many of my clients receive partial reimbursement for therapy through their insurance provider using out-of-network benefits. If you reside in California and your plan includes out-of-network mental health coverage, you may be eligible for reimbursement for our sessions.

I am happy to provide a superbill—a detailed receipt with the necessary information—for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. To determine your coverage, please contact your insurance provider and inquire about:

Out-of-network mental health benefits: Are these included in my plan?
Reimbursement rate: What percentage of the session fee is covered?
Deductible: Is there an out-of-network deductible I need to meet first?
Coverage for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT): Are sessions with an LMFT reimbursable?

Important Consideration

For me to direct bill employer-provided health insurance for your mental health services I am required to share your diagnosis and treatment details with your insurance company, which could potentially be accessible to your employer. This raises concerns about privacy and the confidentiality of your mental health information.  Therefor I’ve chosen not to work within insurance networks. This allows me to:
Offer highly personalized care tailored to your needs—not an insurance company’s checklist
Avoid diagnostic labels unless clinically necessary
Keep your therapeutic process private and fully confidential
Therapy is not just for managing symptoms—it’s also about growth, self-understanding, and transforming your relationships. These deeper goals often don’t fit neatly into the boxes required by insurance companies.

What About Relationship Intensives in Ireland?

The Relationship Intensives—a 4-day immersive experience in the serene West of Ireland—are generally not covered by insurance. These private-pay services are designed for partners seeking focused time away from daily life to make rapid progress in their relationship. These retreats are considered a private-pay service due to their format, setting, and structure. However, they offer the rare opportunity to make powerful, purposeful gains in your relationship far beyond what weekly sessions can typically provide.

Medicare

Please note: I am not a Medicare provider. If you are a Medicare recipient and choose to work with me, you will be responsible for my full fee. I can provide a monthly statement of services upon request, but Medicare will not reimburse you for sessions with me.

Cancellation Policy

Life is full of surprises and sometimes plans need to shift. If you find yourself needing to cancel or reschedule a session, I understand — and I ask that you let me know as soon as possible.

Cancelling  Individual or  Relationship Therapy (Online, California & Ireland)

To honour both our time and commitment to the therapeutic process, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. This gives me the opportunity to offer that time to another client who may be waiting.
Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee, except in cases of emergency. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a respectful and predictable therapeutic space.

Cancelling Relationship Intensives (In-Person, West of Ireland)

Due to the extended time and planning involved in Relationship Intensives, a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your dates. The remaining balance is due two weeks before the intensive begins.
Cancellations made:
More than 15 days in advance: You may reschedule your intensive one time within the following 6 months, without losing your deposit.
Less than 15 days in advance: Unfortunately, I cannot offer deposit refunds or rescheduling for cancellations within this window, unless I’m able to fill your spot with another couple.
These policies are designed to support the integrity of our work together and ensure that space and time are used thoughtfully.

A Transparent Approach

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, effective in California as of January 1, 2022, you have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate of charges.
This law requires healthcare providers to offer patients—who either do not have insurance or are not using their insurance—an estimate of expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy. You are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services.
You can request a Good Faith Estimate from me, or from any other provider you choose, before scheduling a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.
Be sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate.
For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
